T-Mobile tops for retail experience

T-Mobile USA has won acclaim having been ranked highest of the US’ seven major cellcos in a customer retail satisfaction survey conducted by JD Power and Associates. The study assesses the overall retail experience for wireless customers over the past six months, in terms of sales service, price, displays, promotions and store facilities. T-Mobile topped the survey with an index score of 109, ahead of Nextel (103), AT&T Wireless (102) and Verizon Wireless (101). The study also revealed that the sale of a mobile phone in a retail store takes an average of an hour. Only 29% of buyers said that price was the prime motivation behind their purchase, with 43% swayed by the salesperson instead.
