Edelca/CVG looking for cable

Electricity supplier Electricidad del Caroni (Edelca) says it is preparing to launch a tender for the supply of 1,300 kilometres of cable for a national fibre-optic backbone project by its subsidiary CVG Telecom by the end of this month. Bidders should present offers by the end of the year, with construction due to begin in early 2005.
