Loral plans to emerge from bankruptcy before year-end

Bankrupt satellite operator Loral Space Communications says that it expects to emerge from bankruptcy before the end of the year. The company has filed plans for a USD1 billion debt for equity swap with the US Bankruptcy Court and has already gained the support of its unsecured creditors.
