MTNL plans to issue tender for two million-line GSM expansion in August

State-owned MTNL says it will issue a tender for a further two million GSM lines next month, half of which will be rolled out in Mumbai with the remainder in the New Delhi circle. The company began an expansion programme in April this year and by the start of next year hopes to have deployed 800,000 new lines in Dehli and Mumbai, using equipment supplied by Motorola.
