COLT plans Indian call centre

London-based COLT Telecom has revealed plans to open a call centre on the Indian sub-continent to provide technical support functions for its European operations. From September, the operation – based in Gurgaon - will provide support to COLT’s 18,000 customers via a 350-seat call centre; if all goes to plan this figure could be increased to 800 within a couple of years. COLT operates networks in 32 cities across 13 countries via its 25,000km fibre-optic cable.
