Econet joins debate over duty waiver

Mobile operator Econet Wireless Nigeria has joined the Association of Telecoms Operators of Nigeria (ATCON), to petition the government to restore a 5% duty waiver on telecoms equipment, which was removed earlier this year. ATCON claims that the renewal of the rebate will aid development in the country’s telecoms markets.
