New licence for Uralsvyazinform

Russia’s Ministry of Communications and Information has awarded Uralsvyazinform a ten year GSM-900/1800 licence covering the Ekaterinburg and Sverdlovsk region. According to the terms of the concession, the company must launch services before 30 June 2005; Uralsvazinform has tentatively planned for a commercial launch before the end of this year.
