DT feels the benefit of US consolidation

Deutsche Telekom’s (DT) shares rose by more than 4% yesterday on the back of Cingular’s acquisition of AT&T Wireless. Sentiment among analysts and investors alike was positive, based on the fact that the consolidation of two of the six largest players in the US wireless market would benefit the operations of T-Mobile USA, the smallest national operator.
