NPA launches consultation on rural telecoms development fund

Nepal’s national telecoms regulator, the Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA), has launched a consultation on developing a rural telecom development fund in the country. On its web site, the NTA has announced it is preparing a concept paper for the disbursement of the Rural Telecommunications Development Fund, and to that end has prepared a consultation paper titled ‘Concept paper on Fund Disbursement’. The NTA has extended the due date to provide comments and suggestions by 15 days to 7 December 2008, it said. The consultation paper is available on NTA’s website (www.nta.gov.np) both in English and Nepali languages.
