Four firms interested in new wireless licence
Romania’s telecoms regulator ANRCTI says four firms have submitted bids for a licence to operate broadband wireless services in the 410-415MHz and 420-425MHz band. NetPoint, RomTelecom, Saudi Oger and Tactical Networks have all made offers for the new concession, with the winning bidder to be announced on 8 September. The terms of the auction excluded existing cellular operators Orange, Vodafone, Zapp/Telemobil and Cosmote.
