Verizon Wireless in Google talks

Internet search engine giant Google is reportedly in talks with Verizon Wireless over adding various Google applications to Verizon’s mobile internet portal. A report from Reuters, which cites ‘people familiar with the matter’, says the negotiations are revolving around technology and potential business models such as advertising-sponsored services. Verizon Wireless is the second largest cellular operator in the US, with 63.7 million subscribers at the end of September.
