Netcom not planning to buy either of Unicom’s networks - report

China Netcom has no plan to purchase either the CDMA or GSM networks of China Unicom, the official Shanghai Securities News has reported citing Zhu Lijun, a China Netcom vice president. Zhu said that the restructuring of the telecom industry will be guided by developments from the State Council and not by the telcos themselves.
