Vodafone eyes new broadband markets

Vodafone is considering buying telecoms infrastructure in Spain and Italy to allow it to supply fixed line broadband to its mobile phone customers, writes London’s Financial Times. The British group is reported to be mulling an offer for Tele2’s fixed line networks in the two countries. In the UK, Vodafone already resells wholesale broadband products provided by BT, while in Germany it offers broadband via the infrastructure of Arcor, its fixed line phone company, to deliver broadband.
