PT expresses interest in Algerie Telecom privatisation, paper says

Portugal Telecom is interested in participating in the forthcoming tender for a stake in Algeria's state-owned Algerie Telecom, according to reports in the Jornal de Negocios, citing an unnamed source within the company. The government of Algeria is expected to offer investors between 35% and 51% of the telco, which has 2.8 million fixed line customers and 7.3 million mobile users.
