TM open to Spice/Idea merger

Telekom Malaysia has revealed that it would be ‘open’ to the possibility of merging Spice Communications, its Indian venture, with Idea Cellular. India’s Economic Times reported yesterday that Spice and Idea are in talks to join forces and create India’s fifth largest operator by subscribers. No formal announcement has yet been made.
