Broadband to expand in Sardinia

The Sardinian authorities have signed a contract with incumbent telco Telecom Italia to extend broadband services to remote rural areas of the Mediterranean island. The work is slated for completion in June 2008, bringing ADSL connections to the residents of over a hundred Sardinian municipalities
