Broadband speed to be quadrupled

BNamericas, quoting local newspaper La Rebública, reports that Uruguayan incumbent Antel intends to increase the speed of its ADSL service by 400% by 2008. It also plans to launch a 3G W-CDMA network in the first few months of 2007. The announcement was made by Maria Simón, president of the state-owned telco.
