Mobile user base tops 96.6 million at end-October

According to the latest data published by Brazil's telecoms regulator Anatel, the country was home to 96.6 million cell phones at the end of October 2006, up 18.9% compared to end-October 2005. However, net additions in the month totalled just 771,000, the lowest number for a single month since January 2004, notes BNamericas.
