NTT and TransTeleCom team up to provide international data network

NTT Communications Corp, a subsidiary of Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corp (NTT), has signed an agreement with Russian telecom company TransTeleCom to team up in international data transmission services. NTT Communications and the closed joint stock company will connect networks between Japan and Russia, the pair said in a joint release. The tie-up will give NTT network coverage of 900 Russian cities and ramp up its data transmission network links with Europe, while TransTeleCom will benefit from being able to expand its network coverage to include Asia.
