BT joins forces with T-Mobile

BT Group [BT.L] is joining forces with T-Mobile Germany to return to the UK mobile phone market after exiting the sector less than two years ago. The symbiotic relationship will provide T-Mobile with the ability to utilise excess capacity in its UK network, whilst BT will get more immediate market penetration and cost efficiency. BT will be launching a major marketing offensive in October 2003 under the banner BT Mobile Sense.
