Verizon Wireless sees dough in data

The CEO of Verizon Wireless says he sees a big future for mobile data services. Speaking at an investor conference, Denny Strigl commented: ‘Where does most of our growth come from in the future? Clearly it's from the data side of the business.’ He added that he was ‘very optimistic’ about the firm’s ability to ‘grow data at a very fast pace’. Verizon is the second largest US cellular operator, with 54.84 million subscribers at the end of June.
