Dobson reduces quarterly losses
US cellular operator Dobson Communications Corp has reported subscriber growth and a reduction in net losses for the three months to the end of June. The firm reported a net loss of USD8.4 million, down from a loss of USD12.7 million in the same period last year. Service revenues rose from USD216 million to USD223 million. Oklahoma-based Dobson had 1.56 million subscribers at the end of June, with average monthly revenue per user (ARPU) climbing from USD45.28 in the second quarter of 2005 to USD47.89 in the most recent period.
