LLU lines stand at 673,000 at the end of July

According to the Office of the Telecoms Adjudicator, the number of unbundled local loop lines in the UK reached 673,000 in July, a hike of 93,000 from the figure at the end of June. The independent body has however raised concerns over the quality of the lines, something that BT Openreach – the company responsible for connecting users to BT’s infrastructure and local exchanges – claims it will address when it pushes through a significant improvement plan in delivery quality from September 2006.
