Two Big Macs, a couple milkshakes, fries and some internet access please! Wi-Fi in McDonalds?
McDonalds is introducing Wi-Fi to a number of its San Francisco restaurants in a pilot program giving fast food customers free wireless internet access. The program has launched twelve wireless access points (hot spots) across the Bay area, where customers can appreciate the added convenience of a high speed wireless internet connection whilst enjoying their meal. McDonalds already offers Wi-Fi at ten restaurants in New York City and officials stated that they hope to bring the service into many more of their restaurants, with Chicago likely to be next on the list. McDonalds is offering free internet access with the purchase of a Big Mac Combo until the middle of August, in the hope that the offer will stimulate public interest in the service.
