Iusacell contracts UTStarcom for EV-DO datacards

Mexican mobile operator Iusacell has contracted US vendor UTStarcom and software supplier Smith Micro Software to provide laptop datacards for its CDMA2000 1xEV-DO wireless broadband service. Iusacell will soon begin offering UTStarcom’s 5740 datacard, which utilises Smith Micro’s QuickLink Mobile connection manager software.
