Iceland Telecom integrates WLAN connectivity into service offering

Iceland Telecom has signed an agreement with Swiss company TOGEWAnet Corporation to incorporate the latter’s WeRoam wireless local area network (WLAN) offering, which is based on SIM card technology. The deal enables Iceland Telecom to offer its cellular customers broadband data services by accessing WeRoam-enabled WLAN hotspots around the world.
