Plain sailing at WiMAX Telecom

The Swiss-based wireless broadband operator WiMAX Telecom says it has set a new record for live video transmissions over a WiMAX network. The firm, which has operations in Austria, Slovakia and Croatia, transmitted images over a distance of 40 kilometres from a yacht competing in the World Sailing Championships in Austria. The yacht was moving at 12 knots while sending the live video feed via the WiMAX network.
