Ofcom to offer up new spectrum on first-come, first-served basis

UK regulator Ofcom has initiated a proposal to open up new spectrum in the 71GHz-76GHz and 81GHz-86GHz bands on a first-come, first-served basis. Ofcom suggest the frequency could be used to provide very high capacity, point-to-point wireless networks, supporting data speeds of up to 10Gbps
