Mobile banking system set for launch

The Saigon Commercial Joint-stock Bank (SCB) is set to launch a mobile banking service system on 1 April, enabling subscribers of cellcos Vinaphone, MobiFone and S-Fone to access foreign exchange and interest rates by sending short messages (SMS). Users will also be able to transfer money between accounts and pay electricity, water and telephone fees.
