Siemens supply railway communication technology

Siemens [NYSE:SI] has announced that it is to set up a national GSM-Railway (GSM-R) network to replace the analogue radio system currently used by the Finnish rail administration. The network, due to be completed by the end of 2006, will cover 5,000km of track.
