MPT approves number changes

Vietnamese regulator the Ministry of Posts and Telematics (MPT) has approved a change to fixed phone numbers in the Nghe An, Hai Phong City and Dong Nai provinces. Numbers in these regions will have an extra digit, to allow for rapid take-up of fixed line services. There are currently around 200,000 subscribers in Nghe An and 230,000 in Hai Phong and Dong Nai. The changes will take place as of 3 June.
