Q-Tel’s ADSL base up 132%

Qatar Telecom (Q-Tel) achieved a 132% rise in its ADSL subscriber base in 2005, signing up 25,000 users to its ‘BarQ’ service by the end of the year. Subscribers to Q-Tel’s mobile subsidiary Qatarnet reached 716,000 at end-December 2005, up from 675,400 at the end of September.
