Research Analyst - Washington
TeleGeography, a U.S.-based international telecom research firm known for its authoritative, data-driven research, is expanding its research staff. Our research team focuses primarily on international telecoms services markets and pricing, with an emphasis on carrier and enterprise markets. The analyst position supports our pricing database services as well as contributing to consulting studies and TeleGeography’s benchmark market reports. As part of this team, the analyst's day-to-day responsibilities would include:
• Developing new research contacts and maintaining existing ones at leading international carriers
• Data gathering (especially focused on services pricing)
• Analyzing of price trends
• Writing analytical articles for our Bandwidth Pricing Review newsletter
• Contributing both research and analysis to our consulting projects
• Promoting TeleGeography’s research at conferences and client meetings
Candidates for this position should meet the following requirements:
• Excellent academic background. Graduate-level academic experience is a significant advantage, but not a prerequisite
• 1-3 years’ experience in telecoms, either from the research side or through a position with a services provider or equipment vendor, is preferred.
• Interest in telecommunications markets, particularly from the wholesale/carrier perspective
• Outstanding writing, analytical and computer skills
• Strong research capabilities and phone manner
